My Sunday Heaven

After a bit of a Sunday lie in, it's that time that's neither breakfast or lunch, but maybe still too early to be brunch, a time I always find perfect for a bacon sandwich.
This sandwich was a bit more special than usual. I bought some bacon from Emmett's stall at The Aldeburgh Food Festival last weekend and although the use-by date was for Christmas Day, I could wait no longer.
This is sublime bacon, Suffolk black which is marinaded for six weeks before being smoked over oak. The flavour is sweet, deep and utterly amazing …
I want more!

I love bacon sandwiches too. We just got our campervan up and running again so a trip out on Saturday for bacon sandwiches and tea in our mobile kitchen is fast becoming a tradition.

Jessi, Victoria,
Nothing beats a bacon sandwich.
Cooking bacon in a campervan, what fun. We used to have a campervan, it's great having your little kitchen on wheels.
